Prefixes 1


 

Look for 3 new words that have a prefix in your new list (after-, fore-, pre-, post-, re-).

Do THREE things with each word - 

1.  Type the new word correctly spelled in CAPITAL LETTERS.
2.  Type the new word AGAIN, splitting it into syllables with a back slash (/).
3.  Use the new word in a complete sentence underlining the word.

Example:

UNSELFISHLY
un / self / ish / ly
Madi clearly acted unselfishly when she gave her last dollar to the Salvation Army.

    REDO RE / DO They made me *redo* my picture since it was sloppy.

    af/ter/taste
    I once had a piece of lemon candy, and it had a sour *aftertaste*.

    REUSE
    re/use
    I decided to *reuse* a pair of old pants an make them into something new.

    PREMATURE
    pre/ma/ture
    A *premature* baby is a baby that has been born early.
